On Twitter, the president of TVP Jacek Kurski compared the viewership results of the New Year’s Eve evening on Telewizja Polska and Polsat. “New Year’s Eve in Zakopane and the results of dreams. At 21.15 TVP2 6.8 million, Polsat 1.7 million. Let’s be together and we are together with Polish Television. Thank you!” – he wrote.
The results were to be even better a short time later. “8 million broke. At 22:30 8.1 million! Thank you,” Kurski said before midnight.
When checking the viewership results, Jacek Kurski relies on the Real Viewership Model, which uses data from decoders used by Netia’s subscribers. TVP channels viewership results are higher than those indicated by Nielsen’s telemetry.
During the “New Year’s Eve” there were performances, inter alia, Jason Derulo, Thomas Anders from Modern Talking, Julio Iglesias Junior (son of Julio Iglesias), Maryla Rodowicz, Zenon Martyniuk, Roxie Węgiel, Sławomir, Boys or Piękna i Młodzi.
