Great joy for ten residents of the Iepenlaan who were awarded prizes at the Postcode Lottery. They are allowed to divide one million euros over the equivalent of fifteen lottery tickets. Good for an amount of 66,666 euros per lot.

The checks were presented earlier this week by Gaston Starreveld of the Postcode Lottery. Among other things, he rang the doorbell of a young family with one ticket. They were totally bewildered. A person buys a lottery ticket with the idea that there will probably never be a price on it. Until one day it does. “What are we going to do with the money? No idea really. We are not materialistic at all, we don’t have a destination for it yet.” His wife knows: “buy a seasonal spot at a campsite and do fun things with the two children.”

Elm avenue resident Edwin was surprised with a check for 266,000 euros. When asked where the money will go, he says: ‘I’d like to get a new kitchen, pay off part of my house, take a trip and maybe a new car.’ Another resident won 133,333 euros. What will she do with it? ‘I want a new bathroom with a bubble bath and a new toilet. That should work with this.’ The winners can be seen on New Year’s Eve in the program The Masked Singer Old & New Special on RTL 4.

The prize package of the Postcode Lottery, totaling 56.7 million euros this year, includes the SuperPostcode prize of one million euros. The maximum 22 participants will win amounts from 33,333 euros to 100,000 euros, depending on the number of tickets they play with.
