A bomb raid was committed this morning at the Via Hotel in Diemen. Guests and employees have been evacuated. According to the police, they were taken to another hotel.
Police say the hotel’s ATM has been hit and two suspects have fled. No injuries were reported, but the damage to the hotel is extensive, according to police. Windows were smashed and doors damaged. It is not clear whether anything was stolen.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service is examining whether explosives are still left behind. As long as there is uncertainty about this, no one is allowed to return. The area surrounding the hotel has been cordoned off.
