The isolation teams have already been fixed and will receive comprehensive medical care and preparation over the next few days.
“Safety first”: 50 employees of the energy company prepare for isolation from January 7th. “The Omicron spread is progressing, an intense 5th wave is expected. As an energy provider, we must not risk any failures, so we are currently preparing a new isolation”, writes Wien Energie on Twitter.

The insulation is planned for the waste recycling plants in Spittelau, Flötzersteig, Simmeringer Haide and the Simmering power plant. “This step is far-reaching, but necessary in order to be able to guarantee security of supply under all circumstances. I would like to thank the employees who are ready to take on this challenging task again, ”said Wien Energie CEO Michael Strebl.

The employees have 50 beds, kitchen facilities, laundry and leisure rooms at their disposal in their living quarters. The company also offers work psychological support. As early as March 2020, Wien Energie employees volunteered to go into isolation for a longer period of time. “22 employees from the insulation layers at that time are also on duty this time,” said the company.
