Zelensky’s decree on sanctions against Medvedchuk’s encirclement channels in Russia called censorship

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed sanctions against two new channels surrounding MP Viktor Medvedchuk, who is suspected of treason. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Kiev allegedly continued the line of “establishing total censorship.”

Zakharova said that several years ago, problems with freedom of speech in Ukraine “had not yet reached such proportions.”

“The next batch of sanctions was a continuation of Kiev’s peremptory line on the establishment of total censorship, a complete cleanup of the country’s information space from any objectionable media and the deprivation of the right to vote for all dissidents and disagreements with what is happening in Ukraine,” Zakharova said.

According to her, now in Ukraine there is “a blanking out of any alternative point of view, and all because the OSCE is silent.”
