No midday bath for this Saturday 1is January 2022, to start the year with a refreshing moment. As in 2021, the Covid-19 and its variants thwarted the project. All hope is not lost, however, for the coming months during which the calendar of Anglo-English meetings should know some new things.
1 Previews in Monciné
Two previews are showing at the cinema Monciné, to start the year on the big screen. Friday January 7, 2022, at 7:15 pm, the team of “Building permits”, of Eric Fraticelli, with Didier Bourdon and Anne de Consigny will be present. Also preview, Tuesday January 18, 2022, at 7:30 pm, with “What we all did to the Good God”, by Philippe De Chauveron, with Christian Clavier, Chantal Lauby, Ary Abittan, Medi Sadoun and Frédéric Chau.
There will also be a question of cinema, with the International Surf Film Festival from Wednesday 6 to Saturday 9 July 2022 and certainly at the beginning of September with the Chambre d’Amour film festival, a draft of which was successfully organized in 2021.
2 Four-day parties
No more Anglet festivals spread over a month and not very visible. From January 2021, it was decided to completely restructure them and to concentrate the meetings over four days. Here again, the SARS-CoV 2 virus disrupted the schedule and resulted in their cancellation. We must discover them from Thursday March 3 to Sunday March 6, 2022.
3 New in June
Gourmet jogging is due to make a comeback on Sunday June 5, 2022. From Friday June 10 to Sunday June 12, 2022, the Uhaïna Lifeguard challenge, a life-saving competition, organized by the Association of English Bath Guides, will appear in Les Sables d’Or . Another novelty, this time at La Barre, Wednesday June 15 and Thursday June 16, 2022, with the organization of a Pétanque Masters.
4 The return of the Nocturnes
Absent in 2020 and 2021, the Nocturnes de la Chambre d’Amour are scheduled for Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June, at the Chambre d’Amour. Two evenings of free concerts, notably with Janie and Lilly Wood & the Prick for the first evening and the trio Õ C’est Nous then les Négresses verte.
5 The hoped-for Copaya challenge
The Anglet beach bask also saw its Copaya challenge project, a 3X3 and 2X2 beach volleyball tournament, a hitherto unprecedented formula, wiped out by the pandemic in June 2021. The Anglo club hopes to be able to make the first edition of this meeting. you in June 2022.
6 30 years of Beach rugby
L’Anglet beach rugby festival, organized by the Hondarra agency is set for Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July 2022. The event is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year at the same time as its thirtieth edition, since it could not take place in July 2020.
7 A sporting month of August
The pyrotechnic evening is set for Saturday August 6, 2022 from Marinella beach. Then, it is the sporting meetings which will follow one another. With Open beach volleyball on Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August 2022, night surfing, Sunday 21 or Monday 22 August 2022 followed by Pro Anglet de surf, from Tuesday 23 August to Sunday 28 August 2022.
