New York City celebrates the so-called “Good Riddance Day”. In Times Square, anyone can burn unwanted memories of the past year in a fire.
If you prefer to leave the work to others, you can also tweet your bad memories. They will then be collectively annihilated.
Since 2007 the “Times Square Alliance” has taken up the tradition of South American immigrants. At the end of the year, followers of this very special tradition burn dolls that are stuffed with objects that bring back bad memories of the past year.
