The Swedish company says nothing about the reasons for the postponement. Spotify is still lagging behind the competition when it comes to HD content. For many services, hi-fi offers are already included in the normal subscription or can at least be booked for a surcharge. With Amazon Music, Apple Music and Tidal, songs in HD quality are already included in the regular subscription. At Deezer this costs an additional five euros per month. YouTube Music and Napster, like Spotify, have so far not had an HD offer. However, the previous announcements at Spotify indicate that the hi-fi offer will be integrated into the premium subscription without surcharge. –
