Investigates possible rape in Bergen

The possible rape is said to have taken place on Tuesday 21 December in Nygårdsparken.

The perpetrator has not been identified, but the police suspect that it is a man who was caught by video surveillance in Bergen city center shortly afterwards.

The person is described as a man between 20-30 years, thin, dark in the skin dark eyes, black hair, beard and beard, and a scar on the cheek.

Police have also shared a photo from a surveillance camera with the press of a person with a dark jacket, caps, light hoodie and light shoes.

Prosecutor in the case, police attorney in the South-West police district Celin Hauge Andersen, tells TV 2 that the police were notified of the incident by the family on 22 December.

– The police have investigated the case since we became aware of it, and see that there is a need to go out in the media with a search warrant so that people who may have information about the case can get in touch, Andersen says.

The police attorney states that there is no relationship between the aggrieved and the suspects in the case.

– It is difficult to answer whether the suspect is a threat to others at the present time. But this appeared to be completely coincidental, she says.

They have no suspicion of who the wanted man is.

The case is being investigated at Bergen city center police station and is in an early phase. The police have so far interrogated witnesses, obtained video surveillance and analyzed electronic clues.
