Sector employees can work if they show proof of having received at least one dose of the vaccine by this date.
Employers in New York will need to verify the vaccination status of employees and anyone who is not up to date will be fined. The fines start at a value of 1,000 dollars.
The new regulations also provide that anyone who wants to eat in a restaurant and is 12 years old or older must present documentation of the double dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The same goes for gyms and indoor entertainment events.
