Sporting coach pointed the finger at the statement issued by the blues and whites in conjunction with the FPB
Luís Magalhães considered that the FC Porto victory against Sporting it was fair, in a game in which it admitted that its players missed many three-point throws, something that it pointed to as a differentiating factor. “FC Porto is a fair winner, because in terms of launch percentages they were better than us. Especially in the three-point launches, we were clearly in a ‘no’ night”, said the coach of the Lions, speaking to Sporting TV, to then aim at the arbitration that was in charge of Sérgio Silva, Nuno Monteiro and José Gouveia. “I would like to take the opportunity not to whiten the situation we are going through, because the referees are completely conditioned and the Association of Judges has already repudiated the communiqué that was made”, he pointed out, referring to the communiqué issued by the Portuguese Basketball Federation ( FPB), together with FC Porto, after the dragons had registered the two absences in games of the Betclic League.
He added: “It’s a shame what’s happening in basketball and there’s a great lack of courage from people who can decide something. It’s important to say this to defend the sport.”
