Carum asks for a bacon-away run – OM online

The holiday bacon has to go – under this motto, SV Carum called for a run for “Athletes against hunger” for the first time last year. Over 100 participants accepted the invitation, looked for sponsors themselves and then completed an individual run within eight hours alone, as a couple or with their family.

The village association now wants to repeat this successful campaign – again on the first Saturday after the New Year: On January 8th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the SVC invites you to the 2nd Carumer Speck-weg run.

The procedure is basically the same: The participants look for a few sponsors and donate a freely chosen amount for hunger relief. All club members, residents and friends are invited to take part.

All information is available in the WhatsApp group

All information about the donation accounts and other campaigns is available in the associated WhatsApp group. If you want to participate, you can simply send a message to Michael Ostendorf (Tel. 0176/81184077) or Steffen Lünsmann (Tel. 01520/9243717). There are currently almost 50 members in the group.

Like last year, the participants should take photos of their runs and send them to the group or on Instagram to @sportler Gegenhunger. A small collage can then be created again.

Every participant receives a free raffle ticket

For its new edition, SV Carum has also considered a few extras. Originally it was planned to set up a small refreshment station at the stadium, where there would be coffee, beer and bratwurst for refreshment. Whether the station can be implemented in view of the Corona guidelines will be decided at short notice.

This year there will also be a raffle with attractive vouchers from sponsors of the association among all participants. Each participant receives a ticket for free. Information about the raffle will soon also be available in the WhatsApp group.
