GJETTUM (VG) – I was abruptly rejected, says Marianne Kirchoff (62) in Bærum.

In mid-December, vaccine manager Geir Bukholm at the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) said that it was absolutely necessary to vaccinate through Christmas, and that the goal is to be able to set 1.2 million doses by mid-January, to avoid more hospital admissions and a delayed reopening.
Marianne Kirchoff from Bærum wants to contribute with what she can do – namely to be vaccinated. It turns out to be more complicated than she assumed.
– I was abruptly rejected, Kirchoff tells VG.
Monday afternoon we stand outside the vaccine center in Gjettum, while she waits for her husband, who gets a dose of two inside.
– I came with my husband, who is getting his second dose now. I thought I could get my third dose at the same time, but I did not.
– FHI is our bible
Kirchoff received dose two on 10 August and is thus missing one day in the 20 weeks that FHI has set as the minimum distance between dose two and three.
– I could get tomorrow (Tuesday editor’s note), but not today, because I was missing one day. But tomorrow I can not, she explains.
