Yes I had an S8 which was available for a very reasonable price after a year on the market (paid 400 euros for it myself in 2017)
When the support stopped this year, I was very disappointed in the S21 and also its price and went to a OnePlus 8. I was very disappointed because shortly afterwards the acquisition by OPPO was announced. We’re getting ColorOS now and that’s pretty crappy.
So now I am strongly thinking about switching phones early. But Samsung is not really interesting anymore. Good functions have been removed, the material has become plastic, the camera island is much too thick, but the price has gone up enormously and does not go down significantly after a few months as it used to be. The price / quality ratio is quite off unfortunately.
Nevertheless, I always used DeX a lot and that is an argument against the A series unfortunately. I have 3 docks left. I thought I wouldn’t miss it so much with the OnePlus and could continue with the built-in “dev” desktop option, but that was disappointing. In particular, the screen always stays on on the oneplus. I also think it’s too big, I thought I’d get used to it, but I still think it’s too big.
But if I didn’t want DeX then I would take the A series indeed.
