The management of HC 05 Banská Bystrica sealed the agreement with forward Westin Michaud. The 26-year-old was currently in the ECHL overseas, wearing a Maine Mariners jersey.
Michaud has a successful career at the NCAA University, where he has gradually established himself as one of the most important players in the Colorado College team. In the final year of his studies, he tried to play for a leading team from the University of North Dakota.
The American striker subsequently signed to the Manitoba Moose team, which acts as a backup team for the Winnipeg Jets playing in the NHL. He played 18 matches in their jersey last season.
