26 december 2021 – Paris Saint-Germain must sell 100 million euros to players before the end of the season to get the financial house in order. The team thinks he knows which players the club from the French capital hopes to sell.
PSG threatens to make a loss of around two hundred million euros over the current financial year, so players will have to be sold. Technical director Leonardo awaits the task of generating the necessary transfer income over the next two transfer windows. Last summer he only managed to sell Mitchel Bakker. The left back went to Bayer Leverkusen for seven million euros.
Sergio Rico, Thilo Kehrer, Rafinha, Layvin Kurzawa, Abdou Diallo, Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi are the players nominated to leave the Parc des Princes. For Kehrer, Diallo, Draxler and Icardi PSG hopes to touch a nice amount. Of the seven, Rafinha is the closest player to a departure. He is about to make the move to Real Sociedad on a rental basis.
PSG could have prevented the sales problem. Real Madrid wanted to take over Kylian Mbappe last summer for no less than 170 million euros (plus ten million euros in bonuses), but the Ligue 1 leader did not let his star player go. Next summer, the French attacker may still make the switch to The Royal, but transfer-free. Mbappe has a contract that expires after this season.
