Delays in train traffic after a failure on the Gniezno-Trzemeszno route

Trains after breakdowns on the route between Gniezno and Trzemeszno in Greater Poland have long delays. Lineups are even several hours late.

Magdalena Janus from the press team of PKP PLK said that in the morning there was a breakdown of the traction network over one of the two tracks of the railway line between Gniezno and Trzemeszno, and after 12 on the second track of the route the rail broke.

There were five PKP Intercity and three Polregio trains on the route – she informed. She added that there was no replacement bus service for regional trains.

As PKP PLK informs traffic has already been restored on one track. It was not stated when the traction fault over the second track of the route would be removed

However, passengers still have to take into account delays. The train from Gdynia to Berlin is over 4 hours late. The composition of the route Toruń Wschodni – Poznań Główny is slightly less delayed. There are almost 3 hours delays in the case of the train from Olsztyn to Zielona Góra.
