From Saturday, January 1, the controls will begin so that the entire population over 18 years of age has their certificate or vaccination card against covid-19, within the framework of current legal regulations, announced the Deputy Minister of Health and System Management Sole Health Officer, Alejandra Hidalgo.
The authority explained that if a person decides to exercise their right not to be vaccinated but wishes to go to a public or private institution, they must present their negative PCR test certificate, obtained 48 hours before their activity, to demonstrate that they did not contract the disease. and it cannot infect the rest of the immunized population.
“From the first of January, the vaccine will be controlled. All the population over 18 years of age must carry their vaccination certificate or their vaccination card, according to the two decrees that they have authorized at the national level,” he said.
He explained that these controls will be carried out in all public and private places. “If I go to the Church, there will be a person who asks me for the vaccination certificate, if I travel by air, land, river transport, the presentation of this certificate is still mandatory.”
In the case of people who voluntarily decide not to be vaccinated, they must present the negative PCR test at the bank, public or private institution, 48 hours before the activity or procedure they wish to carry out.
He indicated that nasal antigen tests will not be valid to be able to transit through banks, offices, travel, etc.
In the case of the public administration, the public servant who does not wish to be vaccinated must present his PCR test every week.
He explained that, in the following days, the Ministry of Health and the Electronic Government and Information and Communication Technologies Agency (Agetic) will launch a mobile application.
“In the following days, from all the information that has been generated to date with the Agetic and the Ministry of Health, they will launch a program, an application so that they can have it on their cell phone immediately, in case a person cannot handle it. The technological issue is very good because it prints its certificate again through the Ministry of Health page and this QR code will be identified through the programs. This will be launched in the following days through the Ministry of Health “.
“The vaccination card is already enabled for all the people who have been vaccinated, it has a QR code that today has a digital signature. It has all the protection at the international level in security aspects,” he said.
