PT Bank DKI rolled out a Rp 1.2 trillion loan to PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, which was claimed to be unrelated to Formula E. It is known that the implementation of Formula E will be held in Ancol in June 2022.
The Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini, confirmed that the Rp 1.2 trillion loan to PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol consisted of a working capital loan of Rp 389 billion.
The loan is for additional working capital for Ancol’s operations, which have resumed their business activities in line with the relaxation of social restrictions in DKI Jakarta.
“And an investment credit of IDR 516 billion for refinancing the PUB II Ancol Phase II bonds and an investment credit of IDR 334 billion for the revitalization and arrangement of the east gate of Ancol, the construction of the new Bird Land attraction,” said Herry in a written statement, Friday (12/24).
“Renovation of Dufan rides, renovation and revitalization of the Mermaid Hotel, and renovation of Seaworld attractions. Thus, the distribution of credit has nothing to do with Formula E,” he added.
Meanwhile, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk said that the loan was a form of collaboration with Bank DKI through the signing of an investment credit and digital marketing promotion last Monday (20/12) in Ancol, North Jakarta.
Finance Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Suparno, said the company previously had a working capital loan (KMK) from PT Bank DKI amounting to Rp389 billion.
Then, on Monday (20/12), a new investment credit of IDR 516 billion was signed which will then be used for refinancing the Jaya Ancol Shelf-Registered Bonds II Phase II Series A which will mature in February 2022.
According to him, this refinancing is carried out by the company in order to reprofiling short-term debt into long-term so that it will strengthen cash flow more stable long term.
In anticipation of future investment needs, Ancol will plan to add an investment loan of IDR 334 billion, which is currently still in the company’s planning process and has not yet been signed.
Separately, the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, continued to highlight the IDR 1.2 trillion loan from Bank DKI for Ancol. He admitted that he would call Ancol to provide information about the loan.
“The information is for the construction of facilities and infrastructure. Is this to build the Formula E circuit, because it includes facilities and infrastructure,” said Pras.
