Almost three million people saw the start of the concert of The Streamers in the Efteling on Boxing Day, according to the organization. As in previous editions, the Brabant representation consisted of Lammers and Guus Meeuwis, but the Vught singer Flemming was also present for the first time.

Due to the great interest, the artists have set a record. 2.5 million people watched their previous performance on King’s Day. This made it the most watched streaming event in the Netherlands ever.

Role for Pardoes
Efteling mascot Pardoes also played a small role in the performance on Sunday, who was not only in the promo films, but also in the support act for the evening show. For example, he met during Lammers at a food stall.

Tickets to the stream were free, but you could put money in the tip jar. The concert raised half a million euros for Unicef.

Hits
The show started with some Christmas carols, but the artists also sang their own hits and hits from other artists. For example, Radar Love by Golden Earring passed by and Flemming and Lammers sang Highway to Hell by AC/DC together.

Cold
The concert started at half past eight with It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas sung by Guus Meeuwis, Nick Schilder and Emma Heesters on a square in the amusement park. Then they walked to the main stage in front of the Efteling Theater at the entrance. Outside, so the performers were wrapped up warm because of the cold. Due to the corona measures, there were no fans.

Most of the reaction from viewers was enthusiastic. Emma Heesters received many compliments for her singing.

After ski
At the end of the concert, The Streamers brought out their top five, which ended with Danny Vera’s Rollercoaster. Band manager Frank Lammers then asked people at home to put everything aside and to send in videos later. “We’re going après-ski.”

A medley of songs (including Ich bin wie du and Anton aus Tirol) that was well received in people’s homes, according to the reactions on Twitter. “Delicious après-ski medley… Swinging on the couch indeed,” someone says. “Believe I’m falling a little bit in love with Frank,” said another.
