Bagneux soon accessible by metro! It is the culmination of more than 6 years of work : mid January, line 4 of the RATP will serve two additional stations: one in Montrouge and the terminus in Bagneux. Since Sunday, December 19, the subways have been running “blank”, without a passenger, for a break-in before commissioning.
At Montrouge town hall: terminus everyone gets off! But for a week now, the trains have continued on their way. Next station: Barbara named after the singer. And the first to walk through these dark tunnels, these are of course the drivers, Sidibé has been with RATP for 4 years: “It doesn’t hurt to discover new stations and it’s a source of pride because we are part of the future of RATP!”
At the end of the line, in Bagneux, the Lucie Aubrac station. At the counter already, Bessma took up her post. She is looking forward towelcome new users in a fortnight: “Perhaps these are users that we saw in correspondence in other stations and who can now go directly to their homes via line 4.”
35,000 new travelers per year
So that everything is ready, the site accelerates: last strokes of the drill, screwdriver … The two stations were designed by the same architect : modern design, white and very refined. Sandrine Serouart is project manager on line 4: “The white is intended to recall the subway tiling. Even if the tiling itself is not there, the white is present and that is what makes them consistent.”
This is new, now the Balneolese will be able to join the center of Paris in 30 minutes. RATP waits until 35,000 new travelers per day.
