The New York City Marathon is a regular highlight in the largest city in the United States. Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets of the metropolis again this year to support the runners on their 42-kilometer route through the urban canyons. On Sunday, November 7th, an extremely prominent starter also mingled with the field of participants: Chelsea Clinton (41).
Her parents, former US President Bill Clinton (75) and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (74), received Chelsea at Ziel in Central Park in the borough of Manhattan. There the family posed for the cameras with the exhausted but happy runner. Clinton ran on behalf of City Harvest, a nonprofit that campaigns against food waste.
