The passengers of trains whose route runs through the section between Gniezno and Trzemeszno (Greater Poland Voivodeship) must take into account the difficulties. At noon, a rail broke on one of the tracks.

On Sunday morning, there was a breakdown of the traction network over one of the two tracks of the railway line between Gniezno and Trzemeszno. Meanwhile, just after 12 o’clock on the second track of the route a rail broke. – The second track is being repaired, therefore the train traffic has been suspended – said Magdalena Janus from the press team of PKP PLK.

According to preliminary forecasts, the failure related to the broken rail is to be removed by 3 p.m. – At the moment, there are five PKP Intercity and three Polregio trains on the route – said Janus. She added that so far no replacement bus service has been introduced for regional trains. – We want this one track to be cleared as soon as possible, because then the fault of the traction network to be removed will no longer generate train delays – she emphasized.
