Soccer – Freiburg im Breisgau – Freiburg extended with midfielder Woo-Yeong Jeong – Sport

Freiburg (AP) – Bundesliga club SC Freiburg has extended the contract with midfielder Woo-Yeong Jeong, but did not provide any information about the duration of the new contract. The Breisgau only announced on Thursday that the South Korean international’s contract had been extended “prematurely”. The parties have agreed not to disclose the content.

The 22-year-old’s previous contract was reportedly dated until mid-2023. Woo-Yeong Jeong came to Freiburg from Bayern’s reserve in 2019, but initially had teething problems and then moved back to Munich on loan for half a year at the beginning of 2020. Last season he made his breakthrough in the Bundesliga in Freiburg, and is now one of the top performers in coach Christian Streich’s team.
