English football coach Steven Gerrard had a positive coronavirus test. He will be quarantined and will be missing from the Aston Villa bench in Premier League matches against Chelsea London (December 26) and Leeds United (December 28).
Gerrard took the helm at Aston Villa on November 11, replacing Dean Smith. Before the arrival of Gerrard from the Glasgow Rangers, his charges pulled a series of five losses, but have since won four of the six duels and jumped to the top of the table.
“The situation is unpredictable. It changes every day, from hour to hour. It’s Christmas and no one wants to catch it, everyone is trying to protect their family. One of the players refused to train over the weekend and I’m not surprised at all because he has symptoms and at home expecting a small child, ” said Gerrard.
