Many users Apple Watch who complained of difficulty charging using a third-party charger that wasn’t made by Apple.
This happened after they updated the operating system to watchOS 8.3. The OS was only launched earlier this month, this update focuses on improving overall performance as well as bug fixes. But now there is a new bug.
Reddit user ashfleeburgooben reported directly to Apple’s forums and explained that after he did the update, his watch was only up 2% when placed on a third-party charger overnight.
However, when placed on an authorized charger, Apple Watch they filled up as expected. Another user also chimed in to report a similar issue.
Not only that, there are also users who experience the battery actually decreases when charging. Many suspect that this bug only exists on the Apple Watch Series 7, but also affects older Apple Watch models.
The MacRumors site notes that these complaints are experienced by the most users who use third-party chargers from Amazon compared to other brands.
“My Apple Watch Series 5 will no longer use the stand charger sold on Amazon, but I will charge with the original Apple output,” wrote a Reddit user.
Apple has not publicly responded to this issue, and there is currently no known solution. Owner Apple Watch It’s also recommended to use Apple-issued chargers whenever possible.
