COACH Indonesian National team, Shin Tae-yong, wary of four Singapore players ahead of clashing against the Garuda squad in the second leg of the semifinals AFF Cup 2020, Saturday 25 December 2021 at 19.30 WIB. The four players in question are Ikhsan Fandi and Irfan Fandi who have Indonesian blood, Song Ui-Young and Safuwan Baharudin.
The names above are called Shin Tae-yong because they appeared impressive when holding the Indonesian national team 1-1 in the first leg of the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals, Wednesday 22 December 2021. Even Ikhsan Fandi who scored the equalizer in the 70th minute.

“Singapore’s players performed better in the semifinal first leg than in the group stage. Indeed, we have to watch out for players number 9 (Ikhsan Fandi) and 15 (Song Ui-Young). There are also two stoppers, number 21 (Safuwan Baharudin) and 17 (Irfan Fandi),” Shin said at a virtual press conference, Friday (12/24/2021).
Even so, Shin Tae-yong assessed that the composition of Singapore’s players was evenly distributed or equally great. Therefore, the South Korean coach stated that the Indonesian national team players should not be complacent.
“But I think all Singapore players are good and have quality. So we have to be more careful and defend well,” continued the 51-year-old tactician.
Previously, both teams played 1-1 in the first leg. If the Indonesian national team wants to advance to the final, they must win by any score.
