KITAB The Qur’an examines everything including the earth, month, and the tides of the sea.
In fact, the distance between objects in space has a significant effect on the force of gravity. therefore, Allah said, “The sun and the moon go around according to reckoning.” (Ar-Rahman: 5).
If the distance between the earth and the moon is too close, of course it will cause an increase in the percentage of oceans so that the oceans cover the land and disappear life on the earth’s surface.
If the distance between the earth and the moon is too close, of course the moon will be attracted by the gravitational force of the earth. It will cause the moon to hit the earth and destroy life.
However, if the moon were away from the earth and the distance between them was widen, of course there would not be a tidal phenomenon on earth and the moon would be attracted by the gravitational force of other planets.
In addition, the earth will rotate in only 4 hours for one rotation cycle so that the length of the night is only 2 hours and the length of the day is only 2 hours.
Therefore, the Moon is “responsible” for the phenomenon of tides. A high tide is an increase in sea level a few meters and then a decrease again. This happens 2 times a day.
When the full moon arrives, the moon’s influence on tidal phenomena is even greater. The rise and fall of sea level at full moon is even higher.
For example, it is assumed that the difference in water at high and low tide is half a meter in the middle of the sea, while on the coast the difference is two meters. The tidal phenomenon was only known for its scientific causes in the 18th century by the scientist Newton, where he linked it to the moon’s gravity.
Modern science has proven that humans, animals, plants are greatly affected by the full moon
