A BOLA – Sporting adds and follows (Futsal)

Sporting thrashed Nun’Álvares, by 5-1, in a match of the 14th round of Liga Placard, held this Thursday night, at Nun’Álvares Pavilion, in Fafe.

Minho were even the first to score, when Pedrinho, after just 4 minutes, and following an excellent assist from Caio, pulled over for the first of the night.

Sporting’s answer, however, was the… champion. The lions equalized a few seconds later, through a forward shot from Miguel Ângelo, and completed the comeback in the 10th minute, with Zicky Té, in the center of the area, giving the best follow-up to a lateral throw-in by Pany Varela. At 16 minutes, and after a beautiful pass from Fernando Cardinal, Diego Cavinato increased the contention.

In the complementary stage, despite the good replica of the Fafense set, Nuno Dias’ team always controlled the operations and ended up scoring twice more, consummating the rout. Waltinho and Pany Varela, both within the final two minutes, took advantage of the fact that Nun’Álvares played in 5×4 to close the game.

With this triumph, Sporting now has 39 points, 8 more than Benfica, despite the reds having a game in hand. Nun’Álvares maintains the red lantern in the championship, having won 4 points in 14 matches.

In the next round, Nun’Álvares will travel to Quinta dos Lombos’ terrain (January 2nd, at 4 pm), while Sporting will host Modicus (also on January 2nd, but at 6 pm). Before that, however, and still this year, the lions are measuring forces with Benfica, in a duel referring to the Super Cup, which is scheduled for December 29, at 7 pm, at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar.
