New Sexual Assault Charges Against Chris Noth of “Sex and the City”

A new woman on Thursday accused of sexual assault the American actor Chris Noth, famous for his role as Mr. Big in the series “Sex and the City”, but will not be able to bring a lawsuit, the facts which she denounces being prescribed.

Singer and songwriter Lisa Gentile says she was touched by Chris Noth in 2002 in New York.

According to the account she gave at a press conference organized via Zoom, Chris Noth insisted on going up to the young woman’s apartment after driving her home.

After forcefully kissing her, “he got more aggressive” and forced her to touch her, she said. Lisa Gentile had managed to push him away and say “no, I don’t want”.

Furious, the actor left the scene insulting him and called Lisa Gentile back the next day, threatening to “break her career” in music if she did not remain silent, she says.

Lisa Gentile’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, said at the press conference that her client could not file a complaint because the facts go back to “almost twenty years” and are statute-barred in New York State.

Ms Allred said she hopes a law, due for review next month in New York City, will open a one-year window for victims of sexual abuse to file complaints even for prescribed facts.

Chris Noth was initially charged with rape and assault by two women whose accounts appeared last week in The Hollywood Reporter.

One of them says she was raped by Mr Noth, now 67, in 2004 at the actor’s apartment in West Hollywood. The other said he went on a date with him in New York in 2015. He then invited her to his apartment, where she claims she was assaulted.

A third woman then reported sexual assault to the Daily Beast in 2010.

The actor had categorically denied the accusations and wondered about the moment chosen to make them public, in the midst of the resumption of the series that made him famous.

The three main actresses of the series “And Just Like That”, the sequel to the phenomenon “Sex and the City”, reacted this week to the accusations against Chris Noth, saying they support the women who spoke against him.
