Opposition not kind to De Croo and Van der Straeten: “Government continues to postpone decision on nuclear exit”

After an hour-long meeting, the government has decided to stick to the complete nuclear phase-out (plan A). Only if there were a problem with the security of supply is there a small chance that keeping two nuclear power stations open will come back on the table (plan B). If Engie does not receive a permit for the gas-fired power station in Vilvoorde by March 15, the government will call on another producer that has participated in the auction and has the necessary permits.
