Cantabria once again breaks the daily record of cases with 741 and adds two deaths
Cantabria has once again broken the daily record of infections so far in the pandemic, with 741 registered on Tuesday, which is 245 more than the day before, when the highest number of cases detected in a single day had been recorded so far. In addition, in the last hours, two more deaths from covid have been recorded: an 89-year-old man with a complete vaccination and another 61, also immunized. With them, the total death toll rises to 631 in the community.
Meanwhile, the incidence of the virus continues to run wild in the region. In 14 days, it already exceeds 700 infected per 100,000 inhabitants (703), which is 100 more at once. And at seven days it has climbed to 458 (which is 74 more). Among those over 65, this indicator has risen to 321 and 173, respectively.
Hospitalized patients have also increased, to 104, representing twelve more, and of which 24 are in intensive care (one more). Thus, hospital occupancy has risen to 6.5%; although the seven-day admission rate has dropped slightly, seven tenths, to 13.2%. (EP)
