A Palestinian man has been shot dead by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank. The Israeli army says the man had shot at the soldiers from a car, after which they opened fire on the man.
According to Palestinian doctors, Israeli soldiers chased the car to the entrance of a refugee camp near Ramallah, after which they shot the 26-year-old man in the back. He later died of his injuries in hospital. There were no injuries on the Israeli side.
Earlier this week, soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian motorcyclist. They suspected that he wanted to drive his vehicle into a military checkpoint in the West Bank.
