Once upon a time there were two Dutchmen and a Belgian in the final of ‘The smartest man’… the candidates carefully considered

It is not the start of a good joke, but a simple observation: there are two Dutchmen in the final of ‘The smartest man’ on the side of one Belgian. It is up to professor-intensivist Geert Meyfroidt (50) to defend that national honour. Why can he become ‘The smartest person’ and why not? And what about the opposition: comedian Arjen Lubach (42) and singer and last returnee Merol (30)?
