Tesla CEO Elon Musk has again sold part of his shares in the American manufacturer of electric cars, official documents show. The multibillionaire sold another 583,611 shares for a total of 528 million dollars, converted about 470 million euros.

Musk has now sold a total of some 13.5 million shares of Tesla and raised about $14.1 billion since he conducted a Twitter poll on Nov. 6 asking if he should sell 10 percent of his Tesla stake. Some of that money goes to taxes.
To reach the ten percent threshold, Musk must sell a total of about 17 million shares. If his exercisable options are factored into his overall equity stake in Tesla, he would have to sell even more shares.
In a podcast on the website ‘The Babylon bee’, Musk himself said that he has now sold ten percent of his stake in Tesla. Earlier this week, the Tesla boss also said on Twitter that he would pay 11 billion dollars (about 9.8 billion euros) in tax this year. It would be one of the largest payments ever made to the US tax authorities.
With a net worth of $245 billion, Musk is the richest person in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
