OAXACA, Oax. December 22, 2021.- Unionized workers from the Oaxaca de Juárez city hall took garbage trucks to the entrances to the city’s Zócalo.
In addition to installing more than 10 blockades in the main crossroads and streets this Wednesday morning, they also closed the intersections of the first square of the city.
The workers who ask the mayor, Oswaldo García Jarquín for the payment of salary and bonus, parked these trucks that carry garbage there because they have not gone to deposit it at the municipal dump for their protest.
Also, in the Zócalo there are containers full of garbage and piles of waste are accumulating that generate sources of infection and unpleasant odors.
So far there is no information on whether there is progress in solving this problem since the mayor has not even appeared to face the consequences of his irresponsibility and ineptitude.
