Mitsubishi has revived the legendary Ralliart brand this year. Now he is tempted by the concept that this iconic name will bear.

If you have been watching motorsport since the 80’s, or at least the 90’s, then you should know the word Ralliart. You will find it at the greatest success of the Mitsubishi brand. The name of the division, which has been in charge of the brand’s performance cars and motorsport since 1983, can be found, for example, in the 12 Dakar Rally triumphs or in Tommi Mäkinen’s four WRC titles. In 2010, however, Mitsubishi dampened the activity of the famous department.
However, in May this year, the Japanese carmaker announced its return. But so far we can perhaps describe it as a slight disappointment, because so far the Ralliart brand has been talked about mainly in connection with the development of new accessories and cosmetic accessories or packages for existing models.

Now, however, Mitsubishi is coming up with an interesting news: through the trailer, it attracts to the premiere of the Ralliart concept, which will take place at the January Tokyo Motor Show. The only image available easily reveals the rear bumper in a striking diffuser. However, we are a little scared that we do not see the tailpipes.
So it’s possible that the Japanese carmaker will unveil an electrified car in January, and we might not be surprised if the Ralliart brand “stuck” to an existing model – and that it would be a study attracting other sports accessories. We’ll see.
Along with the Ralliart concept, a study of a small electric car that will fall into the Kei small car segment will also be presented in Tokyo.
