Master Yusuf Mansur talk about the business potential in Islamic boarding schools which can reach Rp 2 trillion per month. For this reason, the caretaker of the Tahfidz Daarul Quran Islamic Boarding School in Tangerang plans to conduct an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for businesses in Islamic boarding schools.
“We will IPO-in businesses in pesantren so that the owners of the pesantren business are the guardians of the santri as well as the general public. If the average capitalization is around Rp. 1-2 million per month, it means that it is already Rp. 2 trillion per month, Rp. 24 trillion per year, this is a good business, don’t you want it,” said Yusuf Mansur in the Detikcom Outspoken program, Wednesday (12/22/2021).
“It’s up to the viewers (the response) ‘So how come the business ustaz is’, so it’s up to you, please tell the narration,” he added.
Yusuf Mansur explained that the business at the pesantren includes laundry, to food and drinks. From laundry alone, the benefits can be very large.
“God’s permission, in Daarul Quran laundry alone can be Rp 400-500 million a month, aka a year it can be Rp 5-6 billion,” he explained.
If the IPO decision is followed by other pesantren, then the benefits can be felt by thousands of student actors in it.
“If one pesantren has Rp. 1 billion for laundry, how about 1,000 pesantren, that means Rp. 1 trillion. There are 1,000 students, 1,000 children, that means 1,000 crackers, 1,000 coffee, 1,000 syrup, 1,000 tea, 1,000 bread,” he said.
