SalzburgPolice officers from the drug investigation group of the Salzburg-Umgebung District Police Department convicted a 17-year-old student from Eugendorf who was involved in drug trafficking. The young person sold commercially from summer 2020 until July 2021 a total of around 20 kilograms of cannabis herb to 25 customers who have already been researched. Most of the buyers are still minors themselves, mostly schoolchildren and from the Flachgau region. Some of them are also suspected of having large quantities of the 17-year-olds themselves to have acquired them on preferential terms and sold them at a profit to their own customers.

In the course of the house search, the police found 600 grams of cannabis herbs, packaging material and a total of 30,000 euros in cash from the 17-year-old student. In addition to the addictive substances, third-party IDs were also found, which the buyers had to leave with the seller as a deposit for “drug purchases on commission”. The 17-year-old has so far refused to testify. All parties involved will be reported to the Salzburg public prosecutor’s office after the investigation has been completed.
