Profile of Princess Haya bint Hussein, Son of the King of Jordan, a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad

LONDON – Princess Haya is the daughter of King Hussein bin Talal, who is the King of Jordan. He was born to the third wife of King Hussein on 3 May 1974.

Quoting the official HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein website, the princess is a former Sydney 2000 Olympic athlete in equestrian sport and has a strong focus on humanitarianism.

He is known to have founded Tkiyet Um Ali, the first non-governmental organization for food aid in the Middle East.

The institution was deliberately established as a form of dedication and honor to his late mother, Ratu Alia. Tkiyet Um Ali provides food assistance to residents living in each province of Jordan.

In addition, he is also a United Nations (UN) world peace envoy, a former member of the International Olympic Committee and former Chairman of the Jordanian Equestrian Federation.
