JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Former Kebayoran Baru Sector Police Chief (Kapolsek) Benny Alamsyah, sued the National Police Chief and Metro Jaya Police Chief to the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN).

Benny sued the National Police Chief and the Regional Police Chief regarding his dismissal for being involved in a drug abuse case in 2019.

From the official website of the Jakarta Administrative Court, it is known that Benny’s lawsuit was registered with number 286/G/2021/PTUN.JKT on Monday (20/12/2021).

1. Caught in possession of 4 packages of crystal methamphetamine

Benny was caught in a drug abuse case in August 2019. At that time the police found four packages of methamphetamine in his office.

The Head of Public Relations Division of the Polda Metro Jaya at that time, Kombes Pol. Yusri Yunus, said that when personnel from the Narcotics Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya made a sudden inspection of the AKBP Benny Alamsyah’s room.

In addition to finding four packages of crystal methamphetamine, the urine examination also showed that the former mid-level police officer with two jasmines on his shoulders tested positive for drugs.

2. Live the Punishment for Violation of the Code of Ethics

After being proven and undergoing a legal process for violating the code of ethics due to his actions, Benny Alamsyah was also fired as a member of the police.

According to Kombes Yusri Yunus at the time, police officers who are proven to have violated a criminal act will undergo two legal processes, namely the legal process for violating the criminal act and the code of ethics.
