The terrible fire that broke out in Palma di Montechiaro in via San Giuseppe, in the center of the city, cost the life of a 3-year-old girl, perhaps due to an electrical short circuit. The flames devoured an apartment in a multi-story building.
One family was evicted. Three teams of firefighters from the detachments of Agrigento and Licata are at work on the spot. From the first moments it was the child’s mother who raised the alarm, saying that she had remained inside the apartment. Now the confirmation of the little victim would come.
According to the first reconstruction, but the news is still fragmentary, the fire would have broken out on the first floor, where the family was. The little girl was sleeping on the second floor and her parents’ attempts to reach her were in vain, due to the flames. The little girl was called Ginevra Manganello.
