Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Competition for the best-selling car in Indonesia is heating up entering the end of 2021. A name that was originally not so calculated suddenly appears, even to the point of being the best-selling car. He is the Toyota Rush which topped Indonesia’s best-selling car sales for the last two months.
In October 2021, Rush became king by registering wholesales or factory sales to dealers of 5,312 units. While the Xpander (including the Xpander Cross) is only in third position with 4,743 units. Avanza and Veloz are even outside the top 10 best-selling cars by selling 1,701 units.
Meanwhile, last November, Rush also took first place in sales when calculating the sales of the Avanza with Veloz separately. Rush managed to sell 6,285 units, while Veloz was ranked fourth with 4,210 units and Avanza sold 3,946 units. Xpander is now outside the top 10 by only selling 2,467 units.
Even though it is not seen as much as Xpander and Avanza, Rush’s name cannot be underestimated. The reason, the signs of this car will skyrocket already seen in the previous few months. As evidence in September 2021, Rush sales reached 6,003 units or ranked second.
Throughout the second half of this year, Rush also did not get out of the top five best-selling cars. In July it was in fifth position by selling 3,263 units, while in August it sold 4,715 units in the same position.
If you pull back, this car has also almost overtaken at the peak of sales several times, for example in March 2021 it sold 6,930 units by being in second position.
While at the beginning of the year, January 2021, it also managed to stay in third place by selling 3,627 units, only a difference of 213 units from the first place occupied by the Honda Brio with 3,840 units.
