Thieves stole Rosen Plevneliev’s jeep in front of his wife Desislava Banova from an underground parking lot in a mall in Sofia. This was announced by Banova to NOVA.
At around 3.45 pm on Saturday, Banova parked the car and while walking to the entrance of the mall, which is located on the ring road in Sofia, she heard the signal to lock the car.
“I was talking on the phone when a man with a huge backpack on his back pushed himself quite arrogantly at least three times. Maybe if I didn’t talk on the phone, I would have reacted much faster because I had heard of such a scheme. “I saw the man enter the mall with me, and I felt that something was happening. I came back – I saw him heading for my car. And I saw her walk away and out of the parking lot with another driver,” Banova said.
And he explained the scheme: “Pushing into me, the man tries to intercept the key signal. The other person sitting next to the car gets into it and leaves unhindered.”
“112 were informed about the theft in the first minute. It is shocking that this is the fourth case for the last month in this mall. Absolutely with impunity and impudence, in front of the cameras,” Banova commented.
“At 15.56, exactly 6 minutes after the theft, the Apaches muffled the GPS signal to the insurance company and the one to the application in my phone,” Banova said. She last saw her car on the ring road.
She asked if these people did not use an umbrella from above. She was told she had been followed. The other victims were also women.
