Focus Features just released the first brutal trailer for Robert Eggers’ brute Viking epic The Northman. You can check out the trailer and a first poster below!
The new film from the director of The VVitch in The Lighthouse is described as a “epic revenge thriller that shows how far a Viking prince will go to avenge his murdered father”.
Epic cast
The lead roles in the film are reserved for Alexander Skarsgard (Godzilla vs. Kong), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit[/i), Nicole Kidman ([i]The Hours), Ethan Hawke (The Black Phone), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Claes Bang (The Square) in Björk (Dancer in the Dark).
The Northman was directed by Eggers, who co-wrote the script with Sjón. Producers are Lars Knudson and Mark Huffam.
The Northman will hit theaters in the United States at the end of April 2022. It is still unknown when the film will be shown in the Netherlands.
