Board of SAD do Benfica resigns from office – Benfica

In a statement sent to CMVM

The board of SAD do Benfica announced this Monday, in a note sent to the CMVM, the resignation of the corporate bodies from their respective positions in the company. According to the communiqué, members of the Board of Directors, led by Rui Costa, as well as those on the Board of the General Meeting and also on the Supervisory Board, resign from their positions. This decision, it should be noted, is a mere formality, as this procedure is necessary for the new bodies to take office in January – for the quadrennium between 2021 and 2025. The voting of the same will be done in the context of the SAD general meeting scheduled for the 6th.

Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD (“Benfica SAD”) informs that, under the terms and for the purposes of the provisions of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities Code and paragraph a) of article 3 of the CMVM Regulation no. 5/2008, the following members of the corporate bodies of Benfica SAD resigned from their respective positions:

Board of the General Meeting: Nuno Miguel Miranda de Magalhães (Chairman), Pedro Miguel Santiago Neves Faria (Vice-Chairman) and Jorge Ascensão de Mendonça Arrais (Secretary).

Board of Directors: Rui Manuel César Costa (Chairman), Domingos Cunha Mota Soares de Oliveira (Member), José Eduardo Soares Moniz (Member), Miguel Ângelo Bernardes da Costa Moreira (Member) and Sílvio Rui Neves, Correia Gonçalves Cervan (Member) .

Supervisory Board: João Albino Cordeiro Augusto (Chairman), Gualter das Neves Godinho (Member), Rui Manuel, Frazão Henriques da Cunha (Member) and José Manuel da Silva Appleton (Substitute).

The aforementioned waivers take effect under the terms provided for by law.”
