Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, favorite to win next year’s elections in Brazil, congratulated the virtual president-elect of Chile, Gabriel Boric, on Sunday and celebrated the victory of another progressive in Latin America.
“I congratulate comrade Gabriel Boric on his election as president of Chile,” wrote Lula on his social networks, who in the elections to be held in October 2022 intends to displace far-right Jair Bolsonaro from power.
