73.6% of the Colombian population has at least one dose of the anticovid vaccine

The Ministry of Health reported that 304,604 doses of vaccines against covid-19 were applied in the country last Thursday.

With the new report, Colombia registers, as of December 16, a total of 62,027,119 doses applied, of which 44,020,523 correspond to first doses or single doses, while 26,910,006 to complete schedules of two doses or single doses.

This means that 73.6% of the population has received at least one dose or single doses and 52.3% are immunized with two doses or single doses, according to a report from the recent Unified Command Post (PMU) carried out this Friday.

Regarding the third dose, the advance in application is 2,576,325 doses, that is, 20.5% of the population over 50 years of age that are currently prioritized in the National Vaccination Plan to receive the booster.

In relation to some particular groups, in pregnant women there are 175,656 first doses applied, 424,203 migrants received their first dose, 2,810,073 have the first and 617,923 already have the second dose.

Currently the National Government applies the vaccine against covid-19 for the entire population as follows:

Sinovac: from 3 to 11 years old.

Pfizer: Pregnant women and second doses.

Janssen: Population over 18 years of age and migrant population.

AstraZeneca: Population over 18 years of age, migrants and reinforcements.

Modern: Population 12 to 17 years old and second doses.
