Shannen Doherty (50) was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time last year. After her diagnosis in 2015, the disease was successfully combated. Then five years later the shock: the cancer is back.

As the “Beverly Hills 90210” star reported, the breast cancer is already in the fourth stage. This means that there is no longer any chance of recovery. Despite this severe diagnosis, Doherty remains optimistic and shows her subscribers on social media how she lives with the disease. Now she has revealed to “Entertainment Tonight” what she wants for the coming year.

More research for cancer cures
“I believe that a lot more research and advancement in finding a cure for cancer is my ultimate dream,” she reveals, adding, “Because even though I’m fine, I still have cancer and you don’t want to he is in the fourth stage (…). “

In doing so, she keeps thinking about what she can do to raise awareness of the disease: “What can I do to raise money, what can I do to advance research, not just for myself, but for everyone who suffers from cancer? ” Doherty also has a wish for himself: “Realistically, I hope that my health will remain stable and that I can continue relationships with my husband and my mother and my friends.” Ten years ago she said yes to the film producer Kurt Iswarienko (47).

Her work gives her strength
During this difficult time, her work as an actress gives her strength as well as her loved ones. She loves her job and he drives her. “I hope that I will continue to have these opportunities and that I can continue to work with people I have always admired and wanted to work with,” said Doherty.
