TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Lani Darmawan was elected as President Director of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk. (BNGA) in the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS) which will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021.
In addition to approving the appointment of Lani, today’s EGMS welcomes the resignation of Tigor M. Siahaan from the position of president director. Thus, Lani became the new CIMB Niaga captain replacing Tigor.
Lani Darmawan have quite a lot of experience in the banking world. Lani started her career as Deputy General Manager at PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) in 1990-1999.
Then, he assumed the role of Vice President at Citibank Indonesia in 2000.
After that, Lani served as Consumer Banking Group Head at Lippo Bank in 2000-2004. Then, Consumer Banking Country Head at Standard Chartered Indonesia from 2004 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2012, Lani served as Executive Vice President Head of Network at PT Bank Permata Tbk. Meanwhile, in 2012-2015 he served as Director of Retail Banking at PT Bank Maybank Indonesia.
